Volunteer your time, your talent and your enthusiasm

The Okanagan is quickly becoming the sought after destination to host many of the World’s top sporting events. Its Volunteers are gaining a reputation for organizational expertise, enthusiasm and just plain down home hospitality. In March of 2008 the eyes of the World will once again focus on our beautiful piece of the planet when the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship will be staged in Vernon’s Multiplex. Come and join the Volunteer Team and “Experience the World!

A target number of approximately 500 volunteers will be recruited for the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship and all interested individuals are invited to apply for exciting volunteer opportunities. To be considered for a volunteer position, you must complete the Online Volunteer Application no later than August 2007.

Your application will be processed as soon as possible and the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship Volunteer Committee will do its very best to match interested individuals with available positions. Please note that applying for a volunteer position does not guarantee acceptance, but we value your support and interest.

General Information

  • You must be 19 years of age or older to volunteer for the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship
  • Dependant on response, all applications MAY NOT be required/accepted
  • Dates of the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship are March 22 to 30, 2008.
  • Selection of Volunteers will be completed by September, 2007. All applicants will be contacted regarding their application by this date.
  • Every effort will be made to assign volunteers to their area of choice
  • Volunteers are encouraged to purchase tickets to the 2008 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship to guarantee seating for all draws.
