The Facilities

The Tim Hortons Brier will take place on 4 sheets of ice in Winnipeg’s new MTS Centre. The MTS Centre is a first class state-of-the-art sports and entertainment facility located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. The MTS Centre acting as a major hub for pedestrian traffic, patrons can now travel the entire length of Portage Avenue without ever stepping outside. The street level concourse at MTS Centre features the main Ticketmaster box office, the exclusive John Labatt Lounge, Tim Hortons and other retail and food outlets. The MTS Centre is a true entertainment facility with excellent sightlines from every padded, cloth covered seat. MTS Centre is wheelchair accessible.

Keith's Brier Patch and the Purple Heart Lounge

The Keith’s Brier Patch and the Purple Heart Lounge will be in walking distance of the MTS Centre located in the Winnipeg Convention Centre. The Winnipeg Convention Centre is situated in the middle of downtown Winnipeg, 10 minutes from the Winnipeg International Airport, within easy walking distance of large four and five-star hotels. The Brier Patch will be located on the 78,000 square foot third floor while the Purple Heart Lounge makes it first appearance in Winnipeg and will be located in a more intimate setting on the second floor.

GETTING STARTED IN CURLING
This program will help you teach students the fundamentals of curling and you will guide them through various activities that take place in the classroom, the gymnasium and, finally, the curling rink. The practices and games provided in the program should give your students opportunities to learn new skills, improve their fitness, experience the enjoyment of playing on a team and have fun!
